The Round
Cuttable raised $20 million Series A led by AirTree Ventures. Square Peg, Rampersand and Glitch Capital participated. Total funding now sits around $36 million, following seed rounds in 2024 and 2025. Valuation: north of $142 million.
What They Do
Cuttable automates social ad creation for ecommerce brands. The platform pulls existing creative assets, product data from Shopify, performance data from Meta and TikTok, and CRM data to generate, test and optimise ads. Human approval required before publication. The pitch: brands need around 42 ads before finding one that materially improves performance. Cuttable's data set covers 280,000 ads and $370 million in Meta spend from 680 ecommerce brands.
This is not a generic AI design tool. It is a performance-creative platform that uses historical ad data to decide what creative to produce next.
The Team
Founded in 2023 by Sam Kroonenburg (A Cloud Guru, sold for US$2 billion in 2021), Ed Ring (former Swisse marketer, now COO) and Jack White (Sunday Gravy co-founder). Recent hires include Paul Arena from Ogilvy as head of strategy and Helen Crossley, former Meta global ad effectiveness lead.
LinkedIn lists 11 to 50 employees. Forbes Australia reported approximately 35 staff earlier this year. No CRO or VP Sales publicly identified in available coverage.
The Customers
More than 440 ecommerce brands across ANZ, North America, Asia and Europe. Publicly named clients include lululemon, Cotton On, July, Kathmandu and Conserving Beauty.
Sales Team Relevance
If you are selling marketing automation, ad tech or campaign tools to ecommerce brands, Cuttable is now a well-funded competitor with serious brand traction. If you are evaluating social ad platforms for your own prospecting or brand awareness, this is the direction the category is moving: automated creative iteration based on performance data, not just scheduling tools.
The funding signals investor confidence in AI-driven ad automation for commerce. That matters if your patch includes ecommerce, DTC or retail tech.
